Our Transparent Lending Process
We believe in complete transparency. No hidden fees, no complicated jargon, and absolute clarity at every single stage of your mortgage journey.
Our Transparency Pledge
In Australia, mortgage brokers are legally bound by the Best Interests Duty (BID). This means we are obligated by law to act in your best financial interest when recommending loan products.
No Hidden Fees
Our service is 100% free to you. We are paid a commission directly by the lender you choose to settle your loan with.
Full Commission Disclosure
Before you sign anything, we present a Credit Proposal detailing exactly how much commission we will receive from the lender.
How We're Paid
*Lenders pay commissions out of their own margins. You get the same (or often better) rates through us compared to going direct.
The Journey from Start to Settlement
Here is exactly what to expect when you partner with us for your mortgage.
Discovery & Strategy Call
We begin with a brief 15-minute discussion to understand your requirements, financial goals, and timelines. We'll outline your borrowing capacity estimate and talk through potential mortgage structures that align with your plans.
Product Comparison & Recommendation
Using our advanced lending software, we compare hundreds of home loan products from 40+ Australian banks and credit unions. We compile a shortlist of options showing you comparison rates, upfront/ongoing fees, features (like offsets or redraws), and why they meet the Best Interests Duty.
Application Submission
Once you select a loan option, we compile the application and package all supporting documentation to meet the chosen lender's strict criteria. We deal directly with the lender's assessors to resolve any questions, saving you hours of phone calls and follow-ups.
Conditional Pre-Approval
The lender reviews the application and issues a conditional approval (or pre-approval). This establishes a clear purchase budget so you can bid at auctions or make offers on properties with confidence, knowing the bank is supportive of your finances.
Valuation & Unconditional Approval
When you purchase a property, we submit the signed contract to the lender. The lender will often arrange an independent valuation of the property. Once satisfied with the property valuation and any remaining conditions, the lender issues **Unconditional (Formal) Approval**, followed by the mortgage contract.
Settlement & Beyond
We coordinate with your solicitor/conveyancer and the lender to ensure files are signed and the settlement goes smoothly. Money transfers, title deeds exchange, and the keys are yours! We also conduct annual reviews to make sure your rate remains highly competitive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you charge anything for your services?
No. Our mortgage brokering service is entirely free to you. The banks and lenders pay us directly when your loan settles. This commission does not increase the interest rate or fees you pay.
How does Best Interests Duty benefit me?
Best Interests Duty (BID) is a statutory obligation requiring licensed brokers to prioritize the customer's interest over their own. Unlike branch lending staff who can only pitch their own bank's products, we are legally required to find the absolute best fit for you across our entire panel.
How long does the loan process take?
Pre-approval typically takes between 2 to 7 business days, depending on the lender's turnaround times and the complexity of your situation. From formal contract signing to settlement, the process usually takes 30 to 42 days.
